Welcome to BioStatistics!

“Statistics is an integral part of scientific research and the tools for summarizing data and drawing inferences from data are essential both for understanding the outcomes of studies and for incorporating measures of uncertainty into that understanding” (Vu and Harrington, 2020). With the use of real examples from published studies, in this course you will learn the basics of biological data analyses, what statistic methods to use in each case and why, and how to implement these methods using the computer program R.
